Burst water pipes, leaking taps/fixtures and burst hot water services;

-The first thing you should do is call Webb Plumbing Services on 1300 238 993. Keep our handy fridge magnet for your easy reference.

-Locate the shut off taps for your property. The more you know about your property now, the more time, stress and money this may save you in the future.

-Hot water can usually be shut off near the hot water service. The main cold water tap is usually located just inside your front fence/property line.

-Turn on other taps around the property to relieve the water pressure.

-Strategically lay down towels to block and/or divert the water flow.

-Use a broom to divert water flow to a specific area.

Sewer Blockage Emergencies

-The first thing we would advise tenants not to do, is to run taps or use the toilet.

-Call Webb Plumbing Services on 1300 238 993, the sooner you call, the sooner we can rectify the issue.

-It is a natural reaction to run the taps or flush the toilet in an attempt to clear the blockage, 9 times out of 10 this just escalates the situation.

-Another tip would be to liaise with other residents and advise them not to use the fixtures also.

-If the blockage begins to overflow, towels can be used to divert the flow away from certain areas.

Storm Damaged Roofs/Roof Leaks

-First thing you should do is call Webb Plumbing Services on 1300 238 993 - DO NOT ACCESS THE ROOF YOURSELF

-The sooner you call us, the sooner we can get to site and fix the issue.

-Ensure your safety and the safety of others. Do not act rashly.

-Avoid areas below the damage. Set up warning tape/bollards if required. Webb Plumbing Services will cordon off area once onsite.

-If water is leaking inside property, utilise buckets, kitchen pans, containers and even wheelie bins to catch the water.

-Use towels again to divert water flow.

-DO NOT use electrical switches/lights until checked by a licensed electrician.

Using the above methods could prevent severe water damage to certain areas and provide you with more time to assess the situation. Remember to call Webb Plumbing Services on 1300 238 993 for all of your plumbing/emergency needs.
