Leaks or burst pipes can occur at anytime inside your building or outside.

Some things to check:

  • Wet patches on the walls, on concrete paths or in the garden
  • Hot water system valves
  • Taps, toilets and listening out for any hissing sound
  • Water meter

Checking your meter

  • Turn off all taps and anything that uses water
  • Check your water meter and note the numbers down. Wait 10 minutes. 
  • Check if the numbers have changed. If they have, you’ve got a leak!
