Remedial Waterproofing Leaking Balcony - Project

A leaking balcony is the most common building defect in newer property builds.

Our remedial waterproofing project addressed a leaking balcony which was causing water ingress into the apartment and common areas. The property owner needed to find a cost-effective and long term solution to this problem.

The client engaged Webb Waterproofing to apply a membrane over the top of the existing tiles.  Remedial Waterproofing was cost-effective and less disruptive compared to the alternative of removing and replacing all tiles and membrane.

Client:

Real Estate Agent

Location:

Bentleigh, Melbourne

The Webb Plumbing Services team use wire brushes and cleaning products to remove dirt and to ensure adequate coating adhesion.

Application Stage 1

A Primer by Microl is applied as the foundation coat so the membrane can adhere.

Application Stage 2

A base coat of membrane from Microl is applied

Application Stage 3

The final coat of Microl membrane is applied.

Project Completion

The Webb Waterproofing team can tint the membrane to any colour in the Dulux range.

The colour selected for this membrane was a mid-tone grey.

The result is a quality finish and no further leaks.
